Bananaaaaa
What kind of metal should i use for my various things?
And you said you had some sorts?
I need little hooks to put my charms on, studs for my earrings, and plain rings.

Hm, depends. I'm unsure of what you mean by "little hooks" for your charms. Metal to stick into the actual clay?
For earrings the quality of the metal isn't a huge factor, it's either reallyreallyreally good and super expensive or just average, like something you would buy in a store. It's not something you need to worry about. In terms of colours there isn't much choice, gold, silver and bronze. If you want something cooler I can show you how to make the earrings (and anything else that might take you fancy) out of a special kind of wire that comes in a lot of different colours, but that would be for earring hooks, not studs. You might want to steer away from studs as the only support is glue so they break very easily.
What kind of rings? Plain bands? Bands with 1 loop? 4? 8? or sifter rings? (a ring band with a plaque on top and a removable sifter-esque piece of metal you can poke wire through) What is it for? Because you might think a plain band would be best but it often isn't since, again, the only support it glue and they tend to break very easily.

no no you put the metal in the clay and then you bake it and it stays

i need 1 band rings in bulk for these http://anatego.deviantart.com/art/Ribbon-Tutorial-Fimo-87654366 making my own designs and colours though

Re: 1-800-Banana Phone
The hooks you can buy in packs or, like, 500 or you can make them yourself. The bands...mmm...invest in industrial strength glue...but the bands themselves are easy to come by.

Re: 1-800-Banana Phone
do you think i will really need glue though?
i wouldnt know of course
idk i just expected hardened sculpy to hold it but i have never used it before so idk
i know it's not specified in the tutorial though and looks pretty much glued on but i was just gonna.. "enforce" (francais) the bow into the band

Re: 1-800-Banana Phone
Sculpey is actually pretty unpredictable. I ''enforce''-d sculpey into chicken wire for my Wes thing, and did a whole bunch of layers on both sides. It still managed to /die. It could be different for rings and stuff, but from using it I'd suggest superglue. It's not very expensive so price shouldn't be a problem.

I prefer Fimo, sculpey never works out for me. Plus I think Fimo is cheaper...

I don't think so. You mean one that you can see right through?
