Tables and Other Decisions

So how many tables are we going to want, who's going to man them (it can only be two of us per table) and in what sections are they going to be in?

I say if that annoying rule of either crafts or paper still applies, then we get 2, one for each section. If not, then we should think about it.

As to who's manning them, I'm thinking 1 or 2 hour shifts.

Well the table comes with two badges so I say that if someone who doesn't usually go to Anime North would like to be there specifically because we are selling, then those who go every year should buy their own badges, you know?

As for the 1-2 hour shift rule, I think we should look at how many people would like to sit at the table first.

We may not need everybody to, and 2x7 is already 14 hours.

Ohh true, forgot about the two badges.

And the reason that I suggested hour-long shifts is because that way you have six hours to mess and one hour to sit. Which seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I also think that everyone should sit. You're selling, you should be sitting. And if we do the one hour thing then one hour really isn't that bad I don't think.

Well if someone doesn't wanna' sit I'm fine doing their part of the sitting. Preferably if we can arrange it so that it's right after the wifi meetup.

Well the rules say that you can only register two people per table and they are the only ones who can man the booth.

Well, that just means 3 people won't be able to do it, and we already have 2 people who generally don't go (Audrey and Smel) so I think the rest of us should take the booths.
We still have one extra person though.
What is the age minimum? Maybe Rachel wouldn't even be able to do it. :s

I'd be happy to sit for good amounts of time, a lot of what I like to do happens throughout (ie. manga library, dealer's room, artist's alley) and I'll just have to m/ake a few trips out. But I guess I volunteer to man it during nomenoichi (sp?)

Do you have any preference as to which booth you sit at, if we end up having to get two?

Crafts (3-D Stuff)

We probably can.. they aren't gonna' monitor that.. as long as we vouch for each other and all know how to respond to questions.

Yeah Shirv is right, but I think we should also ask Q how it's done. For all we know they could be really strict about who sits at the table and who doesn't.

I'd also like to sit for a bit, but my favourite parts of AN are generally the concert and walking around to have people take pictures of me or have me take pictures of them. And nominoichi.

Do we really need an artist's alley table? We'll make MUCH more money if we focus on the crafts. We could email someone asking if it's ok to sell a few prints but a majority of crafts in the crafts section.

Also, when we make stuff we should make a little ID sheet with materials (especially important for earrings, some people are allergic D: ) for the person sitting.

I think we'd need an artist alley table, a lot of us are doing 2D. Not to mention that if we weren't doing 2D that means Audrey has nothing to do in this anymore. Which is kinda suck for her. The table's only 70, I think it'd be pretty easy making 70$ and then more.

Besides, some people (like myself) really want to do 2D just because it's fun anyways.

Oh and I like the ID sheet idea. =D

I like the sheet idea. I don't think we should display them on the table but we should have like one of those duotangs (sp?) with the plastic sheet and put the sheets in that like for science fair.

Also Banana.. I donno' if you read the whole topic or not but Kiga had a problem with having so many different things at one booth so originally the double booth was good for fixing that, even if we CAN sell everything at once booth.

We will have a multitude of things so we don't wanna' be overwhelming.. plus we can advertise each other or try to be next to each other.

Or even better, to not be next to each other at all.

People won't spend 50$ at a single booth no matter how cool their stuff is. They'll think 'alright that's good, let's save the rest to see what else there is.' The farther away from our partner booth we are, the more we'll sell I think.

idk if she is too busy to post (gonna assume) 'cause of guitar and exams, but in french class she told me she was looking at necklaces that are like glass and then they have flowers inside them or like headbands and stuff
she wasnt too sure but she has started her designing ideas
she was writing it down and stuff

Lol the glass flower beads have to be done by torch, unless you buy them, so I could give her advice but it wouldn't exactly be useful. If audrey's figured out another way then props to her, it's probably 2394820398 times easier =D
