Okay well let's talk about journal entries then.

Are w letting people post whatever they want, are we using it as an RRS feed for our stuff, are we gonna' try to post friendly updates to keep people attached on a personal level too if they find us funny / enjoying reading for whatever reason and therefore like us more as a whole?

I like the third option but I think that there should be individuality between posters so that not only will they be attached on a humerous/friendly level, they'll also feel connections with individual artists. Also, it'll be good if people are following links from individual's account and are looking for their stuff.

Yeah good idea. Maybe we should have a bunch of bullets before our individual text, colour coded depending on who we are?

(If we end up going with that, I'd much like blue or pink. XD)

The forum was being dumb and I used the two signs that in math mean 'greater than' and 'smaller than' instead of quotation marks because I'm an idiot, and the forum just took out what I'd written completely so that made no sense XPP

And the pink bullets would mean that it's Kiga's message. Because we'd each have a different bullet colour to represent each one of us.

I knew what you meant by a different bullet colour per person but I was wondering if you meant we would have one journal entry for a different post by everyone or just like a few short sentence updates per person.

Also, we would all need a message posted up here before anyone made a journal entry if it included us all as opposed to being per person.

I think it'd be better if we all had different updates per person but on the same journal entry. You can update journals without having to make new ones and alert your watchers to it, so I think its perfect =)

Also, that means no posting on here beforehand because it includes all of us, because that'd take a while for everyone to see it, to agree or to (more likely) disagree, then we change it, edit it, see it again, and etc.

Besides we'll all have access to the account so we can all change it if we really have a problem with something said by any of us. But that shouldn't be an issue D:

If Kiga posts 1 entry with her stuff, then I decide to update and just edit yours and add my own part, people won't know about it, will they?

Well what I meant is that each entry could have a message from each of us, which is editable. Usually we just ''s'en occupe de'' our own, but if we really don't like something said by someone else, or if they made a mistake, the you could change it. To clarify, one entry would have seven messages.

There is also a box after each time you edit that ways ''This change is minor (your deviantWATCHers won't be notified). Simply uncheck the box and our watchers will be alerted of the change.

Well... I kind of think we should just have separate journal entries to make it easier because then watchers don't have to figure out which part is new and which part isn't.
Seven messages would also be a lot, wouldn't it?
I mean maybe we should assign everyone a day of the month where around that time they update a long message and only do one of those once a month as to not flood everyone.
Then maybe every week or every two weeks we can have one post with the bullets with a short update from everyone.

But then whose journal would be featured on the main page?

It'd go by most recent, so maybe we could go with your once-a-week update theory, but each person gets a day and updates their journal weekly on that day. That way people can update frequently and by the time the week has ended, we have seven people, so everything will be new. You delete your old message and write your new one. Then we notify the watchers.

I think there should be a minimum but if someone can really think of something interesting and non-Twitter-esque to post each day than they can go ahead.

There should be a text minimum, yes.

And Margot, not everybody would post each day. For example, I would update on monday, you'd update on tuesday, Smel would update on wednesday, Audrey would update on thursday, Chii would update on friday, Shirv would update on saturday, and Banana would update on sunday. During that time anybody can edit their update, but our watchers wouldn't be alerted yet anyways. Then, after everyone has contributed their bits, we alert them. This becomes a weekly activity.

Not frequent enough to be spam, but it would definitely be frequent enough to be accurate.

We wouldn't be getting a journal every day. We'd be getting one once a week.

You can update your journals without letting your watchers know, in fact the default setting for editing an already existing journal entry does NOT notify the watchers.

By updating our part, I guess I technically meant edit. Let's rephrase.

I delete my old message and replace it with the new one on monday. I edit the journal, but do NOT alert the watchers. Margot does the same on tuesday. Then Smel on wednesday, etc, until sunday.

Once sunday comes around, everyone has edited their post. Then we 'update' and alert the watchers. Which gives a single updated journal each week, making 4 per month.

Better? xDD
